"Original grover banjo tuners/small peghead. Mahogany back, sides, and neck. Adirondack spruce top. Rosewood binding on back, rosewood and layered light/dark/light/dark binding on top. Work done in 1992 by T.J. Thompson: neck reset, refret with bar frets, made new bridge and bridge plate. Two top crack repairs: one along base side of finger extension which continues to just inside most outer sound ring, another hairline repair which goes from bridge to bottom of guitar. Very hard to see and is about two inches long. Looks like dark mechanical pencil writing. 6 or 7 cracks on sides, no patches. Dings and scratches on top and bottom of guitar. No cracks on back. Touch up/french polish area extending out in all directions about two inches from bridge-almost impossible to show in pictures. ALl repairs very stable. I would describe all work as excellent. Extremely light instrument with wonderful sound and plays like a dream. No buzzing and action height on low e is about 3mm, 2mm on high E. Snug fitting new om style case. Beautiful golden aging color. Still has saddle height. Repeat:--bridge, frets, bridge plate and nut not original. frets recently dressed"
